Hello Open Data Hub folks,
We’d like to announce a change to the Open Data Hub Community meetings. Red Hat (the sponsor of the Open Data Hub project) recently surveyed the various communities of innovation around AI/ML and agreed that engaging with upstream communities directly should be our primary focus for community building and participation.
Due to this, we’ve decided to reduce our focus on community building through meetings and community outreach via Open Data Hub.
What IS changing, planned for April 15, 2024:
- The Open Data Hub community meetings and mailing lists will sunset in their entirety. The community ODH Slack will remain, we’re also active on Kubeflow slack in the channel #distro-openshift-ai for any community questions and conversation.
What’s NOT changing:
- Red Hat’s commitment to Open Source in the age of AI. Read more from Red Hat’s Chief Product Officer Ashesh Badani on this.
- Open Data Hub remains an open-source project from Red Hat. We will continue to develop in the same GitHub repos. Open Data Hub continues to remain the codebase from which we derive Red Hat OpenShift AI.
- Builds of Open Data Hub continue.
- We continue to encourage Partners to develop against Open Data Hub.
- We continue to encourage pre-sales engagements and prototypes using Open Data Hub.
- Open Data Hub maintainers will continue to review PRs and Issues in GitHub, and answer questions on the Open Data Hub slack at a best effort level.
We would like to thank the Open Data Hub community for their involvement and we continue to welcome contributions via our github repo. It has been a successful journey to this point, and we truly appreciate every single one of you. See you on GitHub!
Onward and up(stream)ward!
– The Open Data Hub Red Hat team
