Hello Alexander!
I just an ODH follower so I cannot really speak for the ODH guys, but I am
glad that you're asking about Jupyter extensions and I'd like to take this
opportunity to learn more about your use case.
I am actually currently working around Jupyter and I am trying to provide
advanced workflow via interactive JS-based extensions (like
python-javascript communication, datatables, d3 integration etc...)
targeting data scientists. End-goal being integration with ODH, but that is
far away atm I guess.
It is a work in progress, but I would really appreciate if you could
elaborate a bit more on the use case you mentioned, i.e. what are the
*quick-and-dirty* application you would like to create in your notebook? Is
this related to data visualization, viewport, presentation?.. Maybe write a
small doc and share it with me, if you are inclined? :)
I can then see if some of the work that's already been done can be reused
for that purpose and pivot my direction accordingly.
As I said, it's pretty fresh work, currently not related to ODH, but you
can follow the github repos for updates (the documentation and readmes
comming soon):

Thanks!
Regards,
Marek

Hi All,
Any Chance we can integrate something like this in ODH?
https://github.com/oschuett/appmode
Basically, it runs your cells and displays widgets, so that the Notebook
functions more as an application than a notebook.
*Use case:* Data scientists would like to be able to create
quick-and-dirty applications, based on their work in Jupyter Notebooks,
that can be quickly distributed to small groups of end users. In cases of
only several end users.
I'm currently trying to get this working with an existing ODH deployment.
Thanks,
Alex
